1. How to delete your account
If you can sign in, open GloboExpats, go to Account, then Security, and choose Delete account. The same option is available on the web from Account settings.
If you cannot sign in, email [email protected] from the email address on your account and write “Account deletion request” in the subject. We may ask for extra information only to verify that the request is really from the account owner.
2. Data deleted or anonymized
When an account is deleted, GloboExpats removes or anonymizes:
- Your login email, password access, name, profile photo, phone number, organization, position, bio, and verification status.
- Saved addresses, saved items, active cart items, notifications, seller payout details, and verification document links stored on the platform.
- Open public listings and open Request Hub posts, so they no longer appear as active marketplace content.
- Google sign-in access for the deleted GloboExpats account. You may also manage app access from your Google Account if you used Google sign-in.
3. Data we may retain
Some records may be retained where required for legal, accounting, payment, fraud prevention, dispute handling, safety, or tax reasons. This can include completed or in-progress orders, proforma invoices, payment review records, receipts, payout history, delivery/handoff records, audit logs, and backups until they age out under normal backup cycles.
Retained transaction records are kept only for the relevant business or legal purpose and are no longer used as an active public profile.
4. Timing
In-app and signed-in web deletion starts immediately. Email requests are reviewed as soon as reasonably possible after ownership is verified. We aim to complete verified manual requests within 30 days unless a legal or active-transaction reason requires more time.
